Amidst a historic 2024 season for the Canes and quarterback Cam Ward, our team was tasked with creating, facilitating, and running Cam’s Heisman Trophy campaign. Rather than solely highlight Cam’s on-field achievements, we sought to tell a larger story, introducing the world to Cam’s truly one-of-a-kind journey from zero star recruit to Heisman Trophy candidate and beyond. Thus, the “Except for 1” movement was born. Inspired by history’s most effective ad campaigns, our team worked to develop a visual identity that illustrated Cam’s story in the most unique and iconic way possible. From Miami to Times Square, from social media to the walls of the Wynwood Arts District and everywhere in between, we left no stone unturned in our deployment of the “Except for 1” Campaign. The world has never seen a “Zero Star” do the things Cam Ward has done, because “Zero Stars” do not succeed at the next level, capture a nation’s attention, and reshape an entire sport…
